Olympic Qualifying Event
On Wednesday 18th April 2012 three of Portsmouth Victoria's swimmers travelled up to the 2012 Olympic park to watch the Synchronised Swimming Technical Duet Olympic Qualifying event. This high profile event is very important for all countries to attend as they have to enter in order to qualify to swim at the Olympics. The three swimmers that watched the event were Rosie Gunn, 12U, Robyn Stanhope, 13/14 and Caitlin Ahern, 15/16/17. This was a really good experience for the girls as they got to watch some of the best swimmers in the world compete at one of the highest levels of competitions. Not only did they get to watch the competition but they were able to watch some of the competitors warm up which was very interesting to watch as the intensity of their training was extremely high

Sport Relief Mile

PORTSMOUTH VICTORIA will be taking part of the Sport Relief Mile this Saturday at the MOUNTBATTEN CENTRE at 4pm. Please come down and support if you can :) The more the better!!!

Parents Open Day

On Saturday the 19th November the club held an Open Day for all parents to come and watch the club training session. This was so that parents could see the hard work the girls had been doing but also so the parents at the lower end of the club could see the natural progression through the squads. At the end of the session the whole club right from the Novice classes all the way up to the 15/16/17s showed off their hard work by doing performances of their routines and skills they had learnt. This was a really successful day with lots of parents there to support the swimmers and lots of positive feedback on how good the girls were looking. This is definitely something we will be looking to organize again in 2012.
